The painting is composed of 78 painted and silk-screen-printed units, of various thicknesses, which fit closely into one another. Sixteen of them are interactive. It's up to the spectator/viewer to find them. The painting is 1m80 high and 2m60 wide, with a thickness of 50cm. It is mounted on a metal structure. A digital audio multi-tack recorder is located inside the picture. It contains a musical work that can be looped indefinitely. Each instrument or sound corresponds to a precise track. Each track can be started and heard individually, and mix in perfect synchronicity with the tracks that were already started. Each track is connected to a trigger point that can be activated by touch. The trigger points are dispersed around the rear of the picture. The viewer is free to open and mute these tracks by touching the part of the painting that corresponds to the trigger point. The active speakers are housed in the elements that form the picture. This means that music actually emanates from the painting.
